As someone who listens to Sam Harris’ podcast regularly and has read all his books, I appreciate the time you took putting this analysis together. I don’t always agree with Harris, but I truly appreciate his style. As you point out, he’s honest in his assessment of other people’s ideas. As a result, the conversations he has with his guests are far more often than not quite thought provoking. It’s unfortunate so few commentators and writers these days make nearly the same kind of effort. The world has far too many echo chambers and far too little critical thinking. Whether you agree with him or not, you have to agree Harris is a critical thinker and no one’s echo chamber.
