I completely agree this, along with the other issues outlined in your comment, is a problem. I have no issue with the use of other texts better suited for discussions of racism, or for better approaches to using these texts for that purpose. My problem is entirely that the reasons given in this case signal it’s discomfort with the topic of racism itself that’s the issue in Duluth.
