I too enjoy listening/reading other perspectives. We spend too much time in our respective philosophical silos. Medium is one of the few places on social media that seems to actively try to draw people out, at least occasionally. That said, I don’t recall indicating I had written specifically on this issue, or on anthropocentrism more generally. Certainly some of what I have written is at least tangentially related to this topic, but I’m hard pressed to recommend one particular article.

I have been a “professional” environmental activist during my lifetime, which I think is referred to very briefly on my profile. Perhaps that’s what you are referring to. As a consequence I’m sure there will be something I write in the not too distant future that is more relevant to the issues you address here. I certainly do have some opinions on the topic. I did mention some criticism of the messaging coming out of the environmental community (and the left more generally) in my article Human Beings Are Wired For Morality, and my article Getting There (the first I published on Medium) has to do with a personal experience in nature. You are, of course, more than welcome to take a look at either or both of these. In the meantime, thanks for following me. I have followed you as well.
